Canadian Window Tint Laws

Discover the table below outlining Ontario's provincial window tint regulations.

Note: Particularly for Ontario, the term "Unobscured" is used in the Highway Traffic Act (HTA), granting police officers discretion to determine whether window tint obstructs visibility. In practice, enforcement tends to be reasonable, with tickets typically issued for tints darker than 20%, although officers have the authority to ticket for any tint level.

Do note that it is up to the operator of the vehicle to make sure that their vehicle is up to the HTA code. Any fines that arise will not be the responsibility of Viper 6.
